TAP Air Portugal’s passengers, traveling to Portugal on any long-haul route (such as Brazil, USA, or Canada), can anticipate memorable travel experiences in Braga, Cascais, Alentejo and Ribatejo, watching promotional films with excellent quality, winners of the 2021 edition of the ART&TUR Festival.
This possibility stems from a partnership between TAP Air Portugal and ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival, aiming to support the promotion of Portugal at an international level and provide TAP passengers with high-quality audiovisual content about cities and regions of Portugal. Within the scope of this new partnership, the winning films of the National Competition of the ART&TUR Festival are now available on TAP’s long-haul flights.
For Francisco Dias, director of ART&TUR, “this partnership is an important step in strengthening the visibility of the films awarded in the ART&TUR National Competition, which is increasingly seen as an essential vehicle for promoting destination brands”, said.
For TAP Air Portugal, this is a natural contribution that stems from its mission to make Portugal known, with a strong focus on the unique opportunity to communicate to the millions of tourists who visit the country every year. This partnership adds value to a continuous and consistent work that aims to enhance and diversify the tourism demand for territories that, through audiovisual content, have made an effort to make themselves known.
With a proactive approach to sustainability and recovery in the post-covid phase, the films that integrate the content offered on TAP flights were carefully selected, valuing the diversity of experiences and national destinations, and were produced on a recent date - between January 2019 and June 2021.
ART&TUR thus gained another institutional partner of great worldwide prestige, offering an additional incentive to all holders of good audiovisual productions: the Rooster of Barcelos (ART&TUR trophy) goes further and flies higher.
ART&TUR Festival is organized by the Centro de Portugal Film Commission (CPFC), with the support of the Regional Tourism Entity of the Center of Portugal. Since 2008, the festival has been an official member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), integrating the CIFFT Circuit.
Those interested in participating in the 15th edition – ART&TUR Ourem 2022 – should submit their films by June 30th. All information is available at https://tourfilm-festival.com.
