The Zagreb Tourfilm Festival was founded in 2011 in the capital of Croatia, to reward the best audiovisual productions related to Tourism. The event is organized by the Balduci Film, a production company with long experience in the film industry, with the support of the Zagreb Tourist Board.
The festival intends to educate and motivate the Tourism Industry players to promote particular destinations, products, and services using video, based on the latest trends in Audiovisual Production and Marketing. Another objective of the Zagreb Tourfilm Festival is to stimulate young people to enter the tourism world as promoters or just as tourist professionals.
The competitiveness and quality of the Zagreb Tourfilm Festival make tourism boards, audiovisual producers, creative agencies and tourism companies participate annually. The festival's program is also a perfect opportunity to be updated on Travel Video Marketing, as well as getting to know the enchanting Zagreb.
Since 2011 the Zagreb Tourfilm Festival is an official member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), which brings together the 14 World’s Best Tourism Film Festivals from four continents at the most prestigious awards and recognition initiative for the Travel Video Marketing Industry - The World’s Best Tourism Film Awards.
Annually, this unique competition recognizes and awards the best audiovisual productions of the Tourism Industry, revealing the leaders in Tourism Communication.
For Alexander V. Kammel, CIFFT Director, “The Zagreb Tourfilm Festival is a unique event, which will celebrate the most creative and innovative travel videos. The festival is also a great opportunity for networking and benchmarking in the Travel Video Marketing Industry.", said.

Zagreb, the heart of Croatia
The city of Zagreb, capital of Croatia, on the historic and political threshold between East and West, illustrates both the continental and Mediterranean spirit of the nation it spearheads.
Zagreb is the cultural, scientific, economic, political and administrative centre of the Republic of Croatia, and is home to the Croatian Parliament, Government and President. Its favourable location between the Pannonian plain, the edge of the Alps and the Dinaric range has allowed it to become a crossing point for mass international communication.
The city is protected from the cold northern winds by the mountain of Medvednica and opens up to the rest of the world thanks to a spacious plain and the Sava river. Zagreb, with a population of nearly one million, contains almost a quarter of the entire population of Croatia.
Over the centuries, the city was inhabited by people coming from all over Europe; and, in recent years, by people coming from different parts of Croatia, ensuring a rich cultural life. Zagreb is a safe city whose doors are always open; a city with a tumultuous history teeming with interesting personalities a city that warmly invites all those who wish to get to know it, and a city that will surely fulfill your expectations.
The journey through Zagreb is a never ending story. The best way to get to know it is by walking down the city streets and enjoying a coffee in one of the town´s pleasant cafes. Zagreb´s most important values are its atmosphere and its people, people who never allow you to feel alone.
