The Amorgos International Tourism Film Festival is an annual event held on the island of Amorgos in Greece alongside the "International Convention of Culture and Tourism - YPERIA."
Co-organized by the Amorgos Cultural Women Association and the Municipality of Amorgos, it was established in 2010 to recognize and promote outstanding promotional videos and documentaries focused on tourism, with a particular emphasis on showcasing Greece and its Cyclades Island complex.
Drawing participants from around the world, including filmmakers, production companies, marketing agencies, and journalists, the festival offers a platform for networking and cultural immersion.
In 2017, the festival joined the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and became part of the CIFFT Circuit, a global competition for tourism videos alongside other international festivals.
The upcoming edition of the Amorgos Film Festival is scheduled for November 14 to 19, 2024, with registration open until July 15, 2024. For insights into this edition's highlights, we interviewed Irene Giannakopoulos, the founder and director of the Amorgos Tourism Film Festival.
