New York, USA - April 16, 2024 - The New York Festivals® TV & Film Awards announced this year’s winners at the Storytellers Gala virtual event on April 16th. Tourism videos were in the spotlight alongside global advertisements and TV productions.
In 2024, the NYF TV & Film Awards received entries from more than 40 countries across 14 categories. Tourism videos demonstrated their exceptional quality in the Corporate Image category, garnering an impressive array of accolades, including 3 Golds, 2 Silvers, 6 Bronzes, and 10 Finalist Certificates.
The coveted Gold trophies were assigned to “Azal Safety Video” (Azerbaijan), “La esencia que permanece” (Spain), and “The Perfect Shot” (Switzerland). Meanwhile, “To be Albertan” (Canada) and “The Danish Zen” (Denmark) secured Silver awards.
Bronze winners included “Covilhã, have time for yourself.” (Portugal), “Nazaré - Bigger Than Life” (Portugal), “For Sure, they are from the north.” (Portugal), “Tourism in South Africa with Trevor Noah” (South Africa), “From Garden to Heaven #tasteslovenia” (Slovenia), and “NURI, The fishermen's daughter” (Portugal).
Among the Finalists are productions such as “Caldas da Rainha Magnificent” (Portugal), “I feel guilty of your best moments” (Spain), “So, the Story Begins” (Japan), “It's only 3 days” (Portugal), “Peru Wow” (Peru), “Sweden (not Switzerland)” (Sweden), “Capital del vino Méxicano” (Mexico), “Grand Train Tour of Switzerland. The Ride of a Lifetime” (Switzerland), “Portuguese Central Way to Santiago. This is the Way” (Portugal), and “Sky Painter” (Canada).
All the tourism winners also secured points toward the CIFFT Rankings, which gathers the most awarded tourism videos and campaigns of the year and establishes the World’s Best Tourism Films.
Judged by a Grand Jury panel comprising award-winning executive producers, journalists, documentary filmmakers, directors, and screenwriters from two dozen countries, the New York Festivals® TV & Film Awards celebrated the groundbreaking storytelling and rich diversity of content created by today's visionary storytellers for global audiences across all viewing platforms.
As an official member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals since 1992 and part of the CIFFT Circuit competition, the festival continues to elevate and recognize the finest achievements in tourism filmmaking.
