The Centro Portugal Film Commission starts announcing that the 16th edition of ART&TUR - International Tourism Film Festival, one of the most recognized tourism film festivals globally, will take place in the city of Caldas da Rainha between the 24th and 27th October 2023.
The participants of the ART&TUR Festival will get to know the best of hospitality in Caldas da Rainha, UNESCO's creative city in the field of Crafts and Folk Arts, and a historic thermal city.
In partnership with Turismo Centro de Portugal and several local institutions (Caldas da Rainha City Council, Cultural and Congress Centre, ESAD, ACCCRO, Caldas da Rainha União de Freguesias, Hospital and Caldas Museum, Malhoa Museum, SILOS Contentor Criativo and the other entities in the region that will be announced soon), the 16th ART&TUR is already being prepared and intends to be more extended in time and in the diversity of initiatives, proposing different challenges in the sphere of cultural promotion and tourism.
Several competitions will be presented in detail very shortly: the award for best tourism film worldwide (ART&TUR Global); the prize for the best national film (ART&TUR Portugal); the award for the best blog post about Caldas da Rainha destination (Blogging Caldas); the prize for the best audiovisual about Caldas da Rainha (ART&FACTORY); and also, the contest for the best film locations of Centro de Portugal, in partnership with ESAD (ART&TUR Location Scouting).
The ART&TUR Festival, which is part of CIFFT - the network of international tourism film festivals, contributes to positioning the best video marketing strategies at global level, getting together during four days the best audiovisual producers and tourism specialists from all over the world.
You can find the regulations on the festival website. Film submission can be made online until June 30th through FilmFreeWay platform, but if you make an Early Bird submission (until April 30th) you will benefit from a 30% discount.
