Tourism Films celebrated at the 13th Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards

Vienna, October 19th, 2022. The winners of the 13th edition of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards were officially revealed this Wednesday, October 19th. In the Tourism Film category, 23 productions from 15 countries were awarded with the coveted Gold and Silver Dolphin Trophies and Finalist Certificates.

To meet the significant increase in the number of entries over the years, the category dedicated to Tourism Films gained five new subcategories: Destination Cities, Regions, Countries, Products, and Services.

In the Tourism Destination - City category, “10 plans to live Madrid” (Spain), “Valencia, Host City for Gay Games 2026” (Spain), and “Cascais Remote Workers” (Portugal) received Gold Trophies, while “Cannes is Still Standing” (France) received a Silver Trophy. Finalist Certificates went to “Gijonomía” (Spain) and “Oda. side-A, side-B” (Japan).

In the Tourism Destination - Region category, “Peloponnese. Greece beyond the obvious.” (Greece) received the Gold Trophy. Silver Trophies went to “Making of holiday feeling” (Austria) and “Percht-Latte” (Germany). “Nebraska, Honestly, It's Not For Everyone” (US) and “Székely Land - Unlimited experience” (Hungary) received Finalist Certificates.

In the Tourism Destination - Country category, “Holiday Here This Year - Epic Holidays” (Australia) and “Introducing the Icelandverse” (Iceland) received Gold Trophies. “Open for Happiness” (Fiji) and “Explore Uganda - The Pearl of Africa” (Uganda) received Silver Trophies. “Bulgaria - Find Your Story” (Bulgaria) got a Finalist Certificate.

In Tourism Products, “Extremadura – A Story Told from the Stars” (Spain) and “The Majestic Adventures of Ofelia de Souza” (Portugal) received Gold Trophies. The Silver Trophy went to “The Gastronomic Revolution lives on in Barcelona” (Spain), while “In its purest form” (Belgium) and “Lithuania. Find your sauna self” (Lithuania) received Finalist Certificates.

In Tourism Services, “Mirador Torre Glòries, see Barcelona like never before!” (Spain) received the Gold Award, while “Eco Lodges Japan in Yukiguni” (Japan) received a Finalist Certificate.

The festival annually honors the world’s finest corporate films, online media productions, and documentaries. In this year’s edition, almost 800 submissions from over 40 countries were evaluated by the international jury, which consists of 70 independent jury members. In total, 197 corporate and documentary productions were nominated as finalists, and from this selection, 129 entries received a coveted Dolphin Trophy.

Recognizing the Tourism Industry’s potential in corporate communication, the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards has been, since 2010, a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and part of the biggest competition for Travel Video Marketing – the CIFFT Circuit.

As a result, all the Tourism Films Category’s winners have access to the CIFFT Ranking List, the leading global resource for benchmarking creativity and effectiveness in Tourism Communication, establishing the World’s Best Tourism Films of the year.
