On October 8th, the award winners of the 10th Zagreb Tourfilm Festival, the Croatian Stage of the CIFFT Circuit, were revealed. In the official announcement broadcasted online from the capital Zagreb, were assigned 26 national and international awards.
The Australian production "Seek Different", produced by KWP! and Zoom Film TV for the Tourism Northern Territory, had the honour of receiving the most important award of the festival - the Grand Prix.
The video that reveals the uniqueness of the Australian Northern Territory collects awards in the CIFFT Circuit 2021, including the Grand Prix at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa (South Africa), Silafest (Serbia), Terres Travel Festival - Films & Creativity (Spain) and The Golden City Gate – ITB (Germany). These achievements lead the video to 1st place in the CIFFT Ranking List of the Best Videos in Tourism Destination Regions.
The 10th Zagreb Tourfilm Festival awarded videos in the categories Tourism Destination Cities, Regions and Countries, Hotels and Resorts, Wine & Gastronomic, Sports Tourism, Independent Travel Film, Documentaries, TV Reportages and Best Croatian Films.
The competitiveness and quality of the event make tourism boards, audiovisual producers, creative agencies and tourism companies participate annually. This edition of the festival counted with 123 submitted videos from 32 countries.
The International Jury, which gathered professionals from Marketing, Tourism and Cinema, evaluated the productions according to diversified criteria divided between worldview and technical merits.
The president of the jury, Boško Bobby Grubić, is a Multi-Emmy Award Winner who also gathers numerous production, marketing and film awards. He graduated from Nashville’s internationally recognized MTSU Recording Industry and TV Production program and the Professional Producing Program at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television in Los Angeles. His latest productions can be viewed on Amazon Prime.
Organised by BALDUČI FILM, the Festival is held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović and the Minister of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia Nikolina Brnjac.
Since 2011 the Zagreb Tourfilm Festival has been an official member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), which brings together the World’s Best Tourism Film Festivals from four continents at the most prestigious awards and recognition initiative for the Travel Video Marketing Industry – the CIFFT Circuit.
